1. What is your favorite part of the Chicago Yarn Crawl?
My favorite aspect of the yarn crawl is seeing knitters get together & make a day (or a week) of visiting stores. The groups of friends come into the store laughing, sharing stories, & having the most wonderful time. I love the fun & energy.
2. How long have you been in business and how did you get started?
Wool & Co. has been in business for over 15 years, however I began managing the business in October 2016. I actually learned to knit at Wool & Co. from the previous owner! My hobby then turned into a life passion as I have been able to reimagine Wool & Co.
3. What makes your shop unique?
Our philosophy at Wool & Co. is customer service, education, & community. Our incredible staff is passionate about welcoming everyone to the store & we believe in creating an atmosphere that blurs the line between home & retail. We urge guests to not only shop, but to sit down, relax & knit in the store.
4. What is your favorite part of being an LYS owner?
I love that we have created a meeting place for the knitting community to gather, learn, socialize, & receive help with any knitting issues/questions. Nothing makes me happier than to see knitters smile & feel empowered after they have learned to fix a mistake or tackle a challenging project.
